This brought tears to my eyes as I remembered so much of it but from my perspective.... Sis was a remarkable woman. The picture of all of you falling into the pool is so great. xx
Thank you for sharing. This is a lovely reflection and I'm so glad you were able to once again experience your Mom as you had come to know her growing up. I lost my brother to Alzheimer's this last year. The end was very painful. I'm glad I had moments with him when he was as I had always known him. Blessings, Jane
Jane, what I didn’t say in the piece, but we as sibs now realize, is that WE are now of an age where siblings and friends are starting to experience dementia, etc. In fact, I am quite a bit older now than my mom was when her friends first started noticing something was off.
We were so blessed to have our mom as our role model on so many levels. She was our mom, teacher, constant cheerleader and inspiration force all in one. She challenged us encouraged us and dared us to dream and then chase our dreams. And she loved us all so deeply and yet so uniquely which I found to be one her greatest gifts.
While her body and mind left us years ago, it’s the stories we share that keep her love alive in our hearts.
Thank you for this beautiful love letter to Mom ❤️❤️❤️
Wow, this was everything my tender heart needed today. Thank you Wint. This truly means a lot to me today, as I wrestle with some grief and try to set some expectations with my relationship with my mom in this season.
What an exquisite love letter to your mom, Wint. Just lovely.
So beautiful❣️ 💕💔💓💗 Thank you, Wint❣️
Wonderful tribute to a great lady and a great mom

That's definitely a challenge and puts us front and center with our own aging concerns.
This is beautiful, Wint. Thank you for stories from the past that offer some of us guidance that we need right now. Your mother's spirit lives on!

Thanks Will. Didn’t know this about your mom. Many prayers to you and those who love her.
Our yoga teacher today read from “Wild Edge of Sorrow.” She’s reading about each of the ‘gates of grief’ each week. It was sweet.
